The F75 may be a good detector and hope it is for as much as it costs. Alls i know is it costs allmost twice as much as the At Pro . Its not weather proof so your in trouble if it rains on you with the F75. Or if you want to hunt lakes or the beach good luck if you get the F75 wet. The At Pro will find just as manny good finds as the F75 If not more. For half the price plus its weather proof. Now the fact that the At pro can hunt in lakes beaches land rain. Who do you think will find more in the long run . At pro or F75?

Well I live in a desert so 2 days a year I have to put a rain cover on, good point. I do hunt rivers and lakes, I just don't like crusty ate up finds so again, good point. As for the long run, my search style is constantly being monitored to get me more keepers per hour of hunt. While park hunts are great, I do other types of hunting, and the F75 was bought for those hunts. I need to know where back fill dirt is, and need to go deep on certain types of finds. It is not a minelab, but just a baby step away. My only contribution here is to adjust settings and get away from the trashy areas for a bit till the new coil settles down. I would like to see how the Pro/Gold handles small gold. Maybe the original poster can show us when he gets it dialed in.

The At pro does great on Gold . I found 3 Gold rings and a Gold braclet. In 3 Months ownership. So no worries there. The best thing about the pro is it hits real hard on nickels and rings not to mention all the other coins I have found all sorts of stuff with it.

My at pro just took a crap on me and I've only had it for about a month
It also has never been very good in salt water, rocks drive it nuts . Diff beaches gave better or worste results but I think I'm done with garret products. And yes I have read the manual and watched all the videos and put in plenty of hours. It always had a lot of iffy signals and even the rings I have found could have gone either way(dig or don't dig) signals never stood out from those bad iffy ones. I put in alot of hours on this machine(10hrs a day on weekends). Too many ppl assume its always the user so I decided to get the at pro. New flash it's not always the users do the research, seems like the quality differs from machine to machine.

Yep, definitely the user.

Weird that you signed up just now and your first two posts are to jump in this thread and criticize the AT Pro. Almost looks like you might be someone with an existing account creating a new account to support your own point... almost. I'm sure that's not the case though.

I am going to weigh in on this I own a at pro. I have found good gold rings silver coins. Here are some photos of what I got with my at pro. image.jpg now I found those rings in the sand wet ocean sand of the pacific north west. High mineralized sands. Other people out there MDing. So like some one said I double dog dare any one to show a metal detector that is water proof works well with salt water. Fresh water, has a good set of ear phones. And is at the same price range.

Water hunters or dry sand guys can to well with a CZ-21 and not have any falsing at half sensitivity. Course the CZ21 is twice the price of the AT Pro. There is also the Tiger Shark and Sand Shark by Tesoro. Sea Hunter by Garrett and the White's Beach Hunter ID, YDI, also the Sov GT and Excal. All of these are far better than the AT Pro. I have all of them except the TDI. For fresh water you can also use the Fisher 1280 with good results. I've had 3 AT Pro's and only the last one was as advertised.

For the money I'd rather have a Whites DFX. No comparison.

I am buying the Garrett Pro-Pointer, just because it is better than the Minelab Pro Finder.

The AT Pro is just a product that has been marketed extremely well, and the water proof is a big plus.

Lol i have a whites Dfx and the At Pro toasts it in every aspect depth iding and gold sensitivity. Now is the Dfx a good machine sure but not as good as the At pro. Now in the water at the beach the dfx would be a bit more stable. But you also cant get the box wet like the At pros.
