Checked into the Motel in Flagler this AM and the temp go into the mid 80's. Nice breeze and wonderful Sun. Will try the beach tomorrow.

Today here in North il. its about 50's and rain coming in from the south. Ground normally freezes around Thanksgiving here so I figure we have at least three more weeks.

Got rained out today. Managed to find 50lbs of old detecting finds in my barn while cleaning today.

Is 'sucks' an actual meteorlogical term? 26 degrees, two inches of snow this afternoon at 9,000ft. Highs in the 40's the next few days, which is T-shirt weather for us. We'll have some better days so this will melt off, but snow is here to stay above 9500ft. Ground hasn't frozen yet. The frost line here is about 48 inches, and when it does freeze up that's the end of it til about June.

It was 28F this morning and everything was frosty white again, it did get up to the lower 50's by the end of the day. Tomorrow were expecting 30-50mph winds and a couple of inches of rain from the Patricia system. Need the moisture in the ground as some folks ground wells are down 17ft this fall.

Texas Hill Country here...

It's been pissing rain since about 5AM... We're supposed to get another 2 inches or so here on the backside of Patricia to add to what we already got ahead of her earlier this week. It's supposed to keep pouring thru tomorrow afternoon - regardless, on Sunday the wife and i will be surface hunting for points on fresh ground thanks to the ~7 inches of rain!
