My wife's uncle died this year but he was retired from making dentures. He made so many gold teeth over the years that he had bucketful of scraps and shavings, enough to buy a new truck.

I knew of a couple people that made gold teeth and worked on gold watches. They both saved scrap gold and did quite well with it
