The bank I get bags from only had quarters, so I figured I'd try another bag, despite bad past results (0 in $2000). Anyway, second handful of coins and I got my first silver Washington

Great find.. I'm still looking for my first.. Have'nt had any luck on quarters but have found dimes and half dollars. My wife says im obssesed with finding one LOL.. She may be right we can't stop and put gas in the car without me getting a roll of quarters... Nice find congrats!!!

Fjer, quarters are exciting to find but pretty difficult. I found a 64 in the first batch I searched, but nothing since then. I don't do them very often. Mostly when I can't get dimes or nicks

Yeah, it'll probably be a long time before I do any more. I only got them this time because it was the only option, and I really wanted that first one, haha.

better yet if you search quarters you might be lucky enough to find canadian silver when you are searching for american shine. It wont be worth as much as american silver but its better than nothing.

Yes good point GL. I want a Canadian silver quarter. Preferably 1964 or earlier. I like the look of the young queens image on the pre 65 coins.

Interestingly enough, being down here in South Georgia, Canadians are rarer than silver, lol. I've gotten one Can dime and no quarters in my searching.
