And it's a big one! Went to a river park today and hunted along a grassy slope near the river. Not more than five minutes later I get a signal that somewhat confuses me. It rang in solid at +34 on the Safari but gave an audible signal like that of a quarter. So I dig and out pops this huge sterling silver ring. Generally large silver will show up as +38 while smaller silver rings will show up as +36-37. This is the first silver ring I've dug at a +34 value. Just goes to show that when in doubt, dig! Total weight was 22.6 grams on my digital scale, beating my largest silver ring by twice the weight!

HH,

Ray

Thats a mega groovy ring there! :headbang: Looks a little like a tigers eye stone? :icon_scratch:

That is a really nice ring. Congrats on digging that one.

Great find Ray! I would have missed that one. Normally I skip 33-35 so as not spend too much time digging up pennies. I got a new Teknetics G2 for Christmas, so my Safari has been sitting for awhile.

Great save!!! HH Chug

Very nice ring, and the best part is that it looks like it fits you. :icon_thumright:

that is a fantastic ring! congrats

Thanks everyone. Yeah, I'm not sure what kind of stone is in there. Tiger's Eye was my first guess, then Jasper??? Maybe someone who knows stones can tell us for sure.

Bart, you don't want to pass up those values. If you don't have one, go out and buy a worn silver half dime for a buck or two and see what it shows up as on your Safari. By the way, where are you located in Nor Cal?

Very lively, handsome ring! Looks like it was waiting just for you! Congrats!

Cool ring. Looks like you could have a career as a "hand model" they are quite exquisite ...I hope you have a little self-control. :icon_thumleft:

That is huge! My biggest silver ring is 9.5 grams. I thought that was pretty big and you doubled it! Congrats!

Ray,

I'm in El Dorado Hills and usually don't find more than a couple of hours at a time to hunt, and unfortunately it's almost always spent at newer sites. Oh well, my Safari & G2 were both paid for by selling the gold & platinum from jewelry finds.

Keep those great finds coming!

Bart
