Third visit to our killer site. Probably the last visit for some time. Scored another 8 silver coins today. I found the bottom row, my friend found the top. I got one more copper and he got two. Very happy with the 1838 seated liberty dime and another three trimes. It’s been incredible. Stay tuned for more. We plan to bring all of our coin finds from the site together for one large photo. I think our total is 23 silvers and about 35 coppers from this one site. Enjoy!

Amazing spot! Congratulations!

That site is almost unbelievable! It's amazing how much silvers you are finding! You two most begin to research this place, I would love to see some type of video/"documentary" of the finds!

thats a banner day in my book

Stage stop with a tavern usually has that sort of quantity . Definite place of commerce and a Dream site you will never forget ... whatever it used to be , your gang hit pay dirt ! Good for you .....

You found and saved some real beauties there. Keep it coming. Congrats!

Holy Trimes and Trickels !!!!!!!!!!

In a decade on this site, I have never seen anybody hauling in Trimes like you are !! This is highly unusual ! I can't even give a rational explanation for this !? Anyone ???

Trimes were circulating heavily in the early 1850s as most other silver coinage, besides worn Spanish, was disappearing from circulation as it could be melted for profit. They all appear to be type I trimes(1851-1853) of lower silver content and in good condition. This was corrected in mid 1853 when silver content was lowered on other silver coins. Could be a gold dollar on that site as they circulated in fairly large numbers in that same time period. Ask me how I know:laughing7: From what I see, Id say this site was gone by the mid 1850s or so

Amazing! Hey, can you post a pic of the back of that capped quarter you got last time? It's one of my favorite things on here.
