What's new

This is NOT good.

Waco and ruby ridge for more contemporary examples?

TSA has caught not one terrorist...if you think they are put off knowing TSA plays with their junk just to get on a plane..is insane....

TSA is only there to get us use to being handled like slaves and nothing more...they will be on trains and on roads next, just wait....they will be fondling everyone that leaves their house soon very soon...wait till they issue them guns...I bet it is coming...

Doesn't the 2nd amendment also give those Americans the right to a gun, just as it does the rest of you? :icon_scratch:

Crispin, this could be great fun!
point #1 Crime is getting out of hand more and more.
point #2 The country is more divided than since the civil war. And Obama was supposed to be the one guy that would bring everyone together.....
point #3 National debt is skyrocketing. Faster than ever....
point #4 Political correctness is a disease that has infected common sense, as evidenced by the recent pop tart gun fiasco....
point #5 Personal responsibility has become taboo...

I am pretty tired right now so I will be going to bed soon.
As always I respect your opinion

1 actually crime rates are at multi decade lows. It's a myth that crime has increased.

Hmm, shouldn,t chase the negatives.
1. Energy consumption.
2. Dependence on others for food supply and a willingness to eat what is not known for chemicals.
3. Super bug in medical environs.
4. Our garbage.
5. Money rules.
6. Our stupid love affair with the automobile. Hey they are great. Not when hours are spent creeping in traffic. That is madness and waste.

Our earlier generations were enjoying heating with renewable wood. Coal could in some low areas in certain weather conditions cause real heath issues. With todays technology both could be highly efficient. Natural gas for the balance.
Proper toilet facilities obviously did not wipe out a race. I have seen some clever set ups.
Food is important,so is what's in it occasionally not stuffing one self every day will not harm the "average citizen.
Current consumerism and the trash it generates is hard to understand. A great percentage of what is discarded should be reused or recycled. More energy can be conserved by not causing more generation. That is best way to keep cost down.
What happened to barter? Or co-op,networking. In a tough economy money still the only medium.
We made huge gains in science, medicine, technology, but in a short period of time quit self sufficiency and healthy diet and life style. let alone what we absorb of
Keeping up with what is partly absurd.(most of t.v. and advertising). There were great minds in the past ,conditions were less modern than today but they had no way of knowing. They considered them selves well advanced. In the bitter cold the smart ones let someone else warm the toilet seat first. Then some dummy eventually got tired of a cold seat and invented styrofoam.(my version of history).followed by,hey lets crap in the house! In a disposable society one needs a disposable income.

Sorry bout the mess,i need to throw this stupid outdated device in the trash.

So those were not examples of presidents using deadly force against US citizens?

And how would you describe Lincoln's treating of the constitutional during the War of Southern Treason? I don't think there was much due process on the battle fields. And what about that h corpus??

And how about putting tens of thousands if American citizens in intern camps during WWII and the complete control of the press.

Again it is clear you do not like Obama and you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But that doesn't change the facts of history - correct.

And I'm thrilled you have lead an interesting and fulfilled life but obviously that has nothing to do with the discussion of this topic or historical fact.
Yes Lincolns acts were unconstitutional as was putting Japanese citizens in camps, that does not mean you condone, tolerate or justify a sitting president violating the Constitution because presidents did so 50, 150 or 250 years ago.

There is a big difference when you talk about a president stating he has the right to assassinate American citizens on U.S. soil....

True, I do not like obama, has nothing to do with his color either, has to do with his principles, beliefs, actions and arrogance and the fact he is an illegal president. I would have voted for Herman Caine in a heart beat, based on his beliefs, actions and back ground.

Just taking exception to your statement ...

"Obama is the first and only president to ever say he has the right to kill Americans on American soil and he believes he has that right."

Obviously this is just completely untrue. Actually many many other presidents have acted against US citizens much more forcefully and deadly than the "theoretical" ways described above. And acted against people a lot more innocent than folks who potentially actively support al Qaeda. Personally I have no problem taking out anyone planning to carry out terrorist attacks on this great country. I lost too many friends and business acquaintances at the twin towers to ever want to see that happen again. You and the other ACLU toadies can go and defend terrorist "rights" if you feel so inclined. I think there is a candlelight gitmo vigil being held at some liberal college campus - you can fit right in.

You forgot to mention that there was about a $255 billion deficit in Fed spending in the month of Feb. You forgot to mention that monthly income has fallen the most in 20 years. You forgot to mention the the percentage of working age adults actually working is less now that when Barry Sotoro became president. You forgot to mention that the too big to fail banks are receiving $45 billion a month handouts from the Federal Reserve thanks to QE2. The number of people on food stamps under Sotoro has incresed from 30 million to 48 million. I could go on and on. But, I must get ready for work.

And this belief, my friend makes you the perfect lib.. rant and rave about rights, equality, gun control, big sugar control thought control and the ability to kill anyone that does not agree with your control theories or that you deem dangerous.

Might as well have vigilantes and the wild west that you guys are so upset about, I think a morally competent wild west would be a lot better than your version of the future.

We already know you do not believe in due process of the law as stated in multi posts. I also knew people in Twin Towers who died, we had a communication center there.

I do not ever believe in violating the Bill of Rights or our freedoms in the name of fighting terrorism, to do so and you have admitted defeat with out another shot ever being fired.

I would rather die in an attack than surrender the constitution, any part of the Bill of Rights or our freedoms.

I would rather die standing free, than die bowing or cowering in fear to terrorist or government.

I see decent human conduct and so called "random acts of kindness" everyday. You are NOT going to see this from watching the news, reading the papers or surfing the net. If people get out and start interacting they quickly find out the world isn't that bad of a place.

People are either Kind or People are Cruel.NO ONE is truly Good. Why would I want to interact with such plasticity? I have always been a loner,I can count my friends on one hand with 3 fingers removed!

That's certainly your right. I've always found that volunteering ones skills and time is a great way to interact with good people.

I feel the same exact way. Our government have the constitutional duty to protect its citizens against enemies - both foreign and domestic. I believe this is the most important duty of our government. If you want to have a bleeding heart about al Qaida terrorists be my guess. I will not be joining you on the ACLU peace march.

Funny how their is not a lot of discussion about criminals rights and "due process" when it comes to people's discussions about personal defense. I don't see a lot of discussion about how you will be asking the person who breaks into your house to surrender so they can be prosecuted and go through a trial by jury?? Seems like a bit of a double standard doesn't it. Doesn't seem like you are too worried about criminals "rights"??

This is also laughable. A great example of your intellectual acrobatics and. You would equate a criminal, trying to break into your house and kill you with someone sitting on a park bench? Nice manipulation,, strange though. Shows us a lot about you.

You should have auditioned for the Devils Advocate.

When someone breaks into my home they are not there to visit or be nice, they are threatening my wife's and my life so I will defend as per 2nd amendment and Florida law that gives be the right to defend our lives as we are in immediate danger.....

Your the bleeding heart not I, your the one that is tossing the Constitution and its Bill of Rights in the garbage not I, I am also not a member of the ACLU, that is something you and other liberals support.

I support and defend the Constitution and the BoR, not a traitor to its principles, I always have and always will support and defend it.....

Your correct Dave......

And when an al Qaida threatens this country they are not here for a visit or to be nice - correct. I'm glad you feel like you have the right to use deadly force to protect yourself but others in this country don't have the same right to be protected.

It is useless to have a conversation about the constitution and BOR with anyone that does not believe in them to begin with.......Now put what ever left wing spin on it you want to......

How is protecting this country against an immanent terrorist threat any different than you protecting yourself from an immanent threat?

Stocky, the difference is that TH is not stepping on anyones' rights and liberty unless they try to forfeit his, yours places you safely in a prison. I say safe, but it would be more dangerous with yours anyway.

You fail the question that I posted about reactive law.... ooops that was a hint wasn't it? Don't worry, I do not think you will comprehend it.
