Hi everyone,
I got up early on my only day off today, and got out to my hometown, about 40 min away just before the sunrise.
I was remembering some old spots from my childhood (they were old way back then, im 32
and wanted to see if there was some fun silver spillage waiting for me. I was wrong, but I didnt go home empty handed.
I went to an old swimming area, and found a lot of clad coins, a 20 cent Euro, and some weird copper pieces, and a bullet head.
Then I went to an old ballfield where I used to play little league. Apparently most of the people that lost coins were in the early to mid eighties
So........clad city. BUT! Since I realized it was going to be mostly clad, I decided that volume was more important, and literally DRAINED that ballpark. I was in my hometown a TOTAL of 4 hours, both locations combined.
I have only been detecting since late July of this year, and today I ended up with over 6.70$ in clad:
(15) quarters
(27) dimes
(72) pennies
(1) 20 cent Euro
(1) cute butterfly necklace pendant(the wife snagged it)
(1) fun filled bag of trash and metal garbage! (the gift that keeps on giving
I am still a noobie, but I am getting better. Only 3 months in, and gaining speed!!!!!
