We had 2 nice days to detect here this weekend, and We did just that. We didnt get out until after 11:00 both days as we had some errands to do yesterday and then church this morning. Once we did get out we started getting some clad, bobbie was adding to her junk jewelry collection. I found the 1928 Mercury at the next to the last school we were at yesterday. Bobbie found her first Buffalo nickle of the year somewhere yesterday, she didnt realize she had found it until we were counting out our finds yesterday. Heading back out again today, we detected a few spots one we hadnt been to in 3 monthes and the other not since last winter.. Why such a gap on the one for last winter? Main reason is that it is all grass no mulch or sand for us to dig in there. We detected 3 other spots that we had just been to last month.
At the 3 monthes since our last visit, Bobbie comes up to me and says" looks like they didnt get it all" she showed me a big ole gold colored name plate and a gold colored earring, unfortunately the both turned out to be el-fako. Shortly after she showed me those 2, I found the 20" 14k herringbone chain. Then on the way back to the car I found the 10k earring. At the all grass school Bobbie found her first gold ring of the year with the 10k wedding band, She literally walked into the grass and found the ring, amazing. We only detected a small part of it as it was getting dark and it was time to head home. I found the sterling and turqoise pendant at the second spot today. Our total for the weekend then was $22.00 in clad, 1-silver piece of jewelry, 3 pieces of gold from today, buffalo and mercury from yesterday. There also is some junk jewelry, bobbie even found sprak plug gap tool so another tool for the tool box. First picture is of bobbies fako bling-close but not quite. Second PicturehhX , 3rd pic is ofour good finds and last pic isof the merc, buffalo and kennedy half I found today and Sac yesterday. Cant wait til next week to do it again
