And now the question. This is where I store a lot of my 90% finds

Now before people start talking about security that is not my question. Is it bad to store my coins like this? The finds that I put in here are the ones that are not in any sort of great condition. However I realize that the coins jingling around in here may further decrease the condition but
since Rossies and Kennedy's do not have any sort of premium I have not bothered to put them In the tubes that I store the better condition finds in. It also contains some low grade Mercs and barbers from my collection. I store this and the rest of my coin collection in a bigger treasure chest that my dad gave me for my birthday years ago. I personally like having a mini chest of silver inside a bigger chest. What are your thoughts?

By the way I have not added the finds finds from the picture to the chest.

As long as it's just common-condition circulated stuff, it shouldn't be a big deal to store it in a box. I used to keep mine in a similar manner, when I was but a wee lass. After a certain point, rolls are just far, far more practical.

Thats awesome!!!! I have a small treasure chest too. It's by far the best way to store silver, gold, rubies, etc. Don't let these collectors tell you otherwise.

I think you should store them in what makes you happy, everyone will have a different opinion on how to store them, but putting them in your little box there seems fine to me, it's not like your going to be taking it out and carrying it around with you shaking it and causing all kinds of wear and tear on them. Nice score on the weekly finds there too! HH, Maverick.

I think you are going to need a bigger chest. This one will work.

Hey that's timzims chest lol!

I dunno if I recommend throwing it into a chest loose like that.
I prefer rolls. Here is where I keep my silver. >.<

The other chest that I store the rest of my collection is about 10x18x12. Maybe some day that will have to be just my silver chest. That would be fantastic.

I store mine just like that,in nice cigar boxes.

at Dark:what year is that proof set in the box?

1957
I still have the paper envelope that goes with it too. It's with the rest of my coin collection.
They go for surprisingly cheap.
I would really like to start stacking those because they are just so nice to look at.
