This Week's take = April Doldrums
Folks,
Did four boxes, results were low numbers. I got a single 1966 from box 1, boxes 2 and 3 were both skunks, and my bride helped me on box four pulling a single 1968-D. Total take = 2 40% coins of 4,000 coins searched.
April is shaping up to be the lowest producing month I've had since I laid-off for a month or two last March. I do expect things to pick-up here in the area where I search. However I think that the numbers are going to be lower than in the past because of the spike in silver.
My plan is to ride this out and keep working boxes. I may shift from four boxes a week to one or two, and I may pull from another bank. I may also pull a few boxes from my dump bank. I dump at TD and they have been very good to me. I have seen silver in their coin machine, and depending on the branch I have had tellers pass those off to me. Bottom line: to get through the slow times I recommend being adaptive and mixing things up when necessary.
