yes its a rotating keyhole cover. It could be from a padlock. Something like this pic from the internet.


Your pics are a bit dark, Diva, and you have shadows. Try using a darker background (dark blue works best IMO) and take pics outside or under halogen lighting. Set camera for outdoors, flash off, adjust white balance and use Macro setting.

Hey neighbor. Neat stuff. The button does look like a SC button. Can you read anything on the back? The rabies tag probably came from Lockhart, SC. I was told once that some Rabies vaccine was made in there. Tony

Found this one on old quail hunting Plantation,in lowcountry SC.Will look up lockhart.Thanks

Lockhart is near Chester, about 50 miles north of Columbia .
