Three More Rings From the Lake!

The only problem is, they aren't precious metal!
Still, a great way to spend the day, so I'm not complaining.

Got a bunch of keys,
a bunch of clad,
part of a mickey mouse keyfob,
a nice fishing lure,
a working bic lighter (from neck deep water) that's as full as new,
and three rings, two tungsten and one stainless steel.

Congratulations on your nice recoveries..the elusive gold is probably still there and it’s always difficult to find..

Even if a Ring isn't Gold or Silver - I still like finding Tungsten & Stainless Steel Rings.

They may not be precious but it shows people are losing rings, and that's a good overall sign. The ratio of precious metal rings to junk rings on people's fingers these days has been decreasing precipitously in recent decades, and this is plainly visible in finds across the board. Even school rings aren't typically made of precious metals anymore, not even silver, made up alloys of stainless steel usually with brand names like "Ultrium" or "Megatrium" all bulls**t names for a type of iron. Also Titanium for some reason is everywhere nowadays, and they're actually retailing for big bucks despite being worth pennies. I blame people being stupid and poor. Wish people were smart and rich again so I can, ahem, so we can find some big stacks of gold rings again. At least you have fun though, right 😎🤴

If those rings were there, the good ones are also there. It's just that the good ones are better at hiding, but if you keep looking, their luck will run out.

Neat rings, but I actually like that fishing lure the best. Probably because I like to fish in water as well as dirt !

Not liking this trend at all! Last year I was finding 4-5 tungsten and stainless rings to every one gold. This summer it's been more like ten to one. Even silver rings are getting scarce to find.

Start a marketing (propoganda) campaign in your community equating rings made from anything less than gold or platinum to bad luck and failed marriages. Say Tungsten, Titanium, Stainless Steel, etc. rings give off bad chi, bad karma, or whatever superstitious nonsense this generation falls for, and say the only way to succeed is with platinum and gold (high karat 18k+) 😄👍
