Good article. My personal favorite:

I picked up a brinks box today and asked the teller to order me another one. I asked when it would be in and she said, "We are not allowed to say when the coin shipments come in." No Biggie, but I laughed, and told her, nobody in their right mind would try and steal a couple thousand dollars in coins! It would weigh alot!

BTW, Box had a 1988 S Proof, no silver or other keepers.

Boxes of halves weigh roughly 26 pounds. A few under each arm would probably slow you down a wee bit. Jim

from my experience it is usually 2-3 business days (not counting saturday) from the day you order it, orders usually have to be in by 10-11am at most banks. Try to get a weekly order setup at multiple banks.

I think the secrecy in delivery may be due to the fact that the carrier also delivers currency.
Also, I rarely call ahead looking for coin. Gives the tellers plenty of time to cherry pick.

A teller at a BoA told me when they got their boxes in without me even asking. I guess it varies.
