Did you get out any this week? Are you back on your schedule of hunting mostly Saturdays?

Changed jobs last week, I am now driving for red gold. They have me up in Geneva from Tuesdays - Sundays, one day off and its tomorrow. Wife will have the car, so I will be stuck at home. Just hit the park in Elwood, for about 30 minutes. I will be taking my detector with me on Tuesday. There is a elementary school with a huge playground, and Geneva has an old park. That's about it. How are you doing?

My wife had a salon appointment Friday so I went to the park while she was getting her hair done. I was there an hour and a half and found a clad Quarter and 14 cents. The oldest was a 1936 wheat cent. The fact that I found the wheaty means there could still be some silver around. I did clean a lot of aluminum tabs and caps up for the park department while there. I think the men on the mowers really enjoy chopping cans up with them blades.

Good idea taking the detector along for those targets of opportunity.

I hit the fairgrounds a few times, the first time I dug everything. The display said pull tab / nickel or pull tab 4-6" and it was. After determining that that was what it is. I started digging the higher tones only (older pennies, dimes and above). The fair grounds are huge, so maybe I will dig the deep tones in the future, but for now digging higher tones. Tried the same thing at the park and found a silver ring, so it us working. Good job on the wheat penny.

Thought it might have been some of the walkers. When I talked to the maintenance guy he said there was a car show there over the weekend, so I left them with him. Someone had a bad day, didn't find the keys just the fob. Just cut a deal with a guy called Poppa out of new Hampshire. If you go to the marketplace and few the stuff for sale page. He listed today, an AT pro with 3 coils. I can send him $50 on Friday to show good faith, and $100 each Friday till I get the 401k money from last company. It will be about $800 after taxes. RG is parting me a nice chunk to drive these shuttles for the next 6 weeks, so I will borrow against it and pay back the budget at the end of the month. I am super excited. Even though I am happy with my 505, I felt I was leaving a bunch of stuff. I downloaded the manual to look it over, but go and check out what he was selling. I worked on him all day. My md is in the truck so now when I end my day I can go check out the park in Geneva and the playground at Bloomfield elementary :).

The price is good for what you get.

I would rethink detecting around a school with all thats happened the last few years. Perhaps put it off till they are on summer vacation. You may panic someone. Just my thoughts on it.

If I go the playground is highly visible, and I would go after 6 pm, but thanks. First stop will be the old park and ball fields, they are real close.

Found 89 cents at the park in Geneva, not bad, felt good to swill the stick, surprised those rayovac batteries have lasted so long. Anyway, it was a real shame, ball infield all over grown on the ballfields, kids there just don't play ball anymore I guess. May try the outfields, at least there if it beeps a pull tab, it might not be.
