I was invited to take a shot at fellow Tnet’er, HighVDI’s magic park along with Tnet’er Metal Headz early Saturday morning. I believe the park was originally a baseball field for a high school in the early 1900’s, then eventually turned into a soccer field, now sort of abandoned, but still mowed! High V has found over a dozen silver coins in this field.

The field is littered with clad, shallow mid tones (nickels, pennies, trash or maybe gold...) every 4 or 5 feet of swinging.

Eventually followed High V’s advice and started only digging deep high tones.

Best find was a 1935 GW. Also found a War Nickel and a couple wheats.

Huge appreciation for the invite from John. He is actually into the YouTube MDing thing lately and has over a dozen videos posted, check him out at Wash-PA-Diggers.

Also made it into the woods to a couple old sites this weekend. Of course, my obligatory handful of spoons, actually my first small iron spoon.

Still searching for my first silver spoon.

Here are the keepers for the weekend.

The matchbox car is a Mighty Maverick from 1969 and are quite valuable if they are in good shape.... and in their original box...

Note sure what the green thing is, but looked like an emerald coming out of the dirt.

Another Rosie brings my silver coin to wheat ratio to 16:35 FTY.

Good luck out there!

Congratualtions on the nice hunt! :icon_thumleft:

Hunting with friends...priceless!

Good to see you getting out and pocketing silver Thad

Great story and nice finds. I really like how our TNet community allows us to find hunting partners we'd otherwise never know. Congrats all around! :occasion14:

You still amaze me how efficient you are with that 250. I'm glad we all pulled some silver out of that field. I had 3 tries down there and only managed the coin knife as my only silver find. You're creeping up on my silver count tho, I need to start getting out more.

One thing I remember with my 250, was how fast I could find the targets, never super deeps ones, but i could run circles with my buddy using an etrac.

Looks like ya'll had a great hunt!

Great finds, The old Hot wheels cars can be very valuable. Some people even recondition them.

The Million Dollar Hot Wheels Collection.

good day there i need one of those

Congrats on pillaging HighVDI's turf. Nothing better than meeting and hunting with a few fellow members and digging a fist full of keepers.

Thx Louis! Seeing and holding your repaired 5 Franc coin knife was awesome. I’m up for some more park hunts if we can work out some promising sites. Nice to not have to battle the briars, ticks, mosquitoes and poison ivy for a change.

We have a good thing going with our local group of Tnet’ers (including Steve in PA). We all have pulled group hunts together and shared our sites. My goal is to have a hunt where all 4 participate and pull silvers. Thx!

Maybe a group pic next time huh? :dontknow:
