Today I crossed 4000 coins for the year...

Well it was not a thing of beauty but I have not posted my last two hunts because of low numbers but crossing 4000 I thought I would post! 59 coins, 2 1/2 hours, 1 1941-s wheatie in middle of picture. Also changed back to stock coil due to loss of depth with small coil in the hard ground, we are due for some rain!

Once again thanks, i do have what seems to be a permanent blister/scar on my right thumb....not sure if it is from the digging or the swinging!

I can do that hold on I will give you an approximate looking through my logs....I am not one of these guys finding 10 silvers and 20 wheaties a day! I have only found 30-40 wheaties this year total...that is it. Wish it was more but thats the truth.

Congrats Greg....curious, do you keep a break down on your wheat/memorial cents?....good luck with the next 4000...

Congrats on the 4000 mark Greg! I enjoy your posts so keep searching, finding , and sharing. Hope we that rain soon huh. Did you notice the extra weight from the bigger coil? Bet you got used to it quickly though.

Again like the wheaties the silver is even lower a lot lower....only 4 silver coins. It is not the depth, I am consistently hitting coins from late 60's early 70's from 5-7.5 so guess I need to hunt older areas. I mainly hunt parks that started in 50's close to work/home. I do have 13 rings and various other silver pendants and misc. stuff.

how many were silver? That is alot of coins!!

Thanks I really like the quarters, but the dimes always amaze me! I have hit more dimes from the late 60's and 70's...amazed at the lack of silver. But every area and amount of time you hunt is different, so I just take what the earth gives me!

Once again everyone thanks for the kind comments I am grinding it out one day at a time three times a week. No fancy stories and yes weasel after talking to some of the best coin slingers detecting (some who have gone over 12,000 coins in a year), I have made my goal 10,000 for the year. The general feeling was if I did not make my goal at least double what it is now, it is not a real goal.
