Today two hunts one very good one very bad!

Well the morning started out very good! 75 coins in 2 hours and 20 minutes. The afternoon hunt at forest preserve (13 coins) left me short of my 100...kids wanted to play softball at forest preserve...not metal detect!

Oh well...family first... 88 coins total, $6.83...oh one 1940 wheatie middle penny row on bottom looks orange!

Another great hunt, congrats Greg.

I love all the different colors and shades of my big ole bottle full of dug wheats. The copper coins really have a rainbow or coloration depending on the soil and length of time in it.

Thanks I have one area in this park that keeps giving the quarters! 6 out of my last 10 hits were quarters....that helped a lot! 8)

The cool thing about the DFX is how it vacuums up everything in its path.

Keep digging those penny signals. I'm finding that pewter items tend to fall in that range, along with a host of other oddball things.

Now the bad news... Nightmare hunt this morning coil went erratic after 4 coins....ended day! Checked with stock coil which worked fine when I got home. Bad news coil 6 months old...warranty 3 months only! The smaller (5.3) coil when tested worked at first then either would id coin wrong or not at all!
