todays meager finds

Hello everyone, Decided to give the 1836 homesite a break and return to one of my other sites 1/8 of a mile away. This site has produced some silver, an 1853 seated half dime and lots of older wheat's. Found 4 Wheaties in the newer range, an old shell casing (age?) a play money 5 cent piece which says Uncle Sam 1953 Half . On the back it says "Falsa Pecuni". Any ideas? Also found an Allis Chalmers tractor plate, Briggs and straton key, pocket knife, and a 1970 toy trailer. Best of all I found a matching license plate. Same year, 1 steel and 1 aluminum. Interesting how they changed over that year. Hope you enjoy and hope to find some better things soon as I have some new spots lined up. Ron

Great finds! I love old houses like that; it makes me sad to see them falling apart like that. I wish I had the $$$ to restore one!

The lady who owns it lives nearby. They started to work on it then I would love to restore it too. The barn out back is in great shape. It has a nice 10 acre plot which is overgrown. I wish I could hunt that. I could buy either house but I have one of my own and the market sucks right now.
