I ventured out today as the temp was in the 50's. I went back to the little park I hit a couple weeks ago. I had one barber dime(1911-d) one merk (1944) great year. Not valuable but the year I was hatched. My trifectia was 1920 wheats I have no idea what the large disc is as there is no writing that I can see. Indian is 1888 and the Buf. is 1919. The park was fairly muddy but nice digging till you got down about 6 or 7 inches. Water would start seeping into the hole and then you had a mess. All in all I had a pretty nice day.

Fine work. Nice group. But your heart jumped on that big disk.

Some excellent finds there. What's the large disc made out of? Any chance that it's a rubbed smooth large cent? Keep hitting it, you will find more!

Those coins are awesome..wish there was a park around here that produced oldies like that!

Nice job,
Nat

Nice finds. Its worth working in the mud when you find coins like that!

looks to me like a great day and excellent digs Les, congrats ;)

Nice job diggin' the oldies, Les. I can't remember a time where I was digging in the turf and had water fill my hole. Your ground must really be saturated, or a very high water table exists there.

Congrats,

Thanks for lookin guys and gals. This area is a low spot in the end of the park. I was told that years ago they used to flood it and iceskate there. This is a fairly small park and it has been hunted pretty hard over the years(even by me 20+ years ago. ) With the amount of trash and surface coins I will be goin back and "try" and find some more "stuff".
