Detector(s) used
Troy Shadow X5, Minelab Musketeer Advantage
I took my Musky on it's first relic hunt since I've owned it and she did well. I lent my Shadow X5 to my buddy George since his is out being repaired. We've been to this site 4 or 5 times now and it's still producing. My third hole of the day was the 1830 LC. The other LC is hard to tell but it might be 1833 or 1843. The wheaties are 1910, 1920, and 1949-S. I love the way this detector cuts out the iron. George found a nice 1879 indianhead and a nice button with most of the gold gilt still on one side. Freaked him out. He thought he found a gold coin. Sam found 8 or more buttons along with a 1906-O Barber quarter. I'm waiting on getting their photos and once I do I'll add them to the post.

How bad is the ground in that part of NJ this time of year?
About one or two inches frozen. Some not at all. I'm only talking about a soyfield. My front yard is frozen.

I thought the same thing when I found it. I believe it is.
