A freezing and foggy morning today, temps were -3 and didn’t get above freezing all day 🥶 xx but after a week at work, we needed to escape!

We have been coming to these fields pretty much most weeks since beginning of September, now what I haven’t been keeping you up to date on is what himself has been doing …. We’ve pretty much come to the conclusion I love to roam and find bits, where as Himself is obsesed with the Roman Coin situation! Soo while He has stuck to one field, I’ve wandered the length and breadth of all the others. Last week he decided to conclude his search for the Roman coins and join me in my fields. Pleased to say he didn’t find much I’d missed 😅. So our finds today are pretty run of the mill and I feel our time is coming to an end here until next year.

First off a very pretty button, a ring and decorative piece, pot mend and a little lid, piece of a spur and a shaped piece, watch winder, lead nails, musket balls (these are the small kind) strange pointy bit, tack pin, and more buttons!

Pretty pics of the countryside….. and the fog…. 😆 xx not sure if we will be out tomoz and sleet is forecast and to me that doesn’t sound a lot of fun 😬 xx

Beautiful scenery, but it does look cold! As for your "run of the mill" finds, they're still mighty cool in my book. I guess it just depends on what you're used to. :icon_thumright:

Eh you're certainly hard-core going out and digging some dirt.

Still getting some nice buttons, as the gold washed one, and the nipple.
Watch winders are always a welcomed recovery.

Certainly the scenery out there today made for some great photos fit for a calendar.

Nice finds. Wish I could hunt where you do! I just can't stand the cold anymore, though! Beautiful pictures as always! Thanks for sharing.

Makes me shiver just looking at that frost. Been there, done forever with that! Nothing like kneeling down in ice to make a recovery! 🥶
