Ton of pennies buried under tree!

[Jonnythack]

Lots of pennies found under a a tree. Dating from 1960-1975 range. All pennies. Still a fun find. Can't wait to go back and check around the hole again!

Neat! Thanks for sharing...

Ooh, I hope this wasn't a modern-day "The Pardoner's Tale"! Money, under a tree? (If you haven't read it, you should! Excellent!)

Some kids cache, I'll bet. See if there are remnants of cloth or a bag.

Cool find! Good luck!

[Jonnythack]

Counted them. 114 total.... Some in better shape than others LOL

Tree climbing & hanging upside down. That's how I picture it !!

finding cache's like are always fun but when your finished and there's no silver it kind stinks

[Sod Buster]

Counted them. 114 total.... Some in better shape than others LOL

That's $1.12 better than I did my last time out

[BigWaveDave]

no zinc, that's good

[dirtlooter]

real buried treasure, I can see a kid burying his loot to hide it from a kid brother and then forgetting where he buried it!

[Jonnythack]

Isn't it crazy the imagination metal detecting brings us! I am the same way. But in my mind there are four trees... Pennies, dimes, nickels, and quarters. All under their own tree haha. Would that be nice?!! Good luck to all!!!!

[l2hunt]

now that's a whole lotta pennies hahahah

I should say that you have ventured out in search of treasure, and your diligence has paid off. Even though they are pennies, the reward is well earned.

Hope you find the half dollar tree on your next trip out.

114 pennies and not a zinc among them?
That will be hard to beat!
Kudos!
