I would love to fish for salmon on the Oregon coast some day
I wonder if they are exceeding the weight limits here and hope life jackets are on board

Yep...they're probably exceeding the rated load for that Willie (boat).

Bill, every year we get several runs of salmon right through the
backyard..well, right off the beach in the back yard..

Best run is Coho (mid Sept. - Nov.) and right now they're in there
pretty thick. Get out this way, you're most welcome to fish off our
beach...we've got one of the best salmon holes on the river.

We used to get a large run of Chum Salmon each fall, and a Chum
salmon on hook and line is going to beat the crap out of you every
time....there were days I'd have to give up after catching 3-4 just
because my arms were wore out. :laughing7:

I used to go to the Salmon River and yes they when they are hooked and get in that current watch out for your life.
It would be great to get out there with you and try our luck
In the Salmon River they raise and lower the levels without notice and i almost drowned
