some pretty exciting finds for a 9 yr old. Congrats on some good times

Congrats to him!! 🙌 My youngest was 10 when she first came out with me...only liked to dig. As soon as she unearthed her first silver, her eyes got as big as Morgans and she looked up and said "I want my own detector!" 😂

Wow, Congrats! I want to detect with you guys!

I used to take my sons with me many years ago, they too got miserable if they didn't find anything, they are now in their forties and like to see my finds when they come round for visits.
They still are not convinced as they did not take up the hobby............HH........Bonz

Awesome finds and great hunting with your son! :occasion14:

He’ll be hooked now

Congrats on his first find. I was 8 when I started with my dad. been hooked ever since. I used to take my daughters. Hint to those taking little ones. Take you 15-25 pennies and if you haven't found anything within 10 minuets, drop a penny when they aren't looking. Keeps them interested. If you like me, and have a coffee can full of wheaties, take on or two of those and make a huge deal of finding a OLD penny. My girls would drive me nuts to take them out metal detecting with them. Rain, cold it didn't matter, Daddy wasn't leaving the house without them. Now with 6 grand kids, I'm starting the same thing with them. My 9 year old grand son uses my ACE350 and is hooked already.

Now that was a great hunt. Congrats.

The GREATEST treasure you gave him is the time spent with you and the memory of when and how he discovered his first silver coin.

50 plus years from today no amount of money will be able to be placed on that memory he has.

Congratulations on being a great father and creating memories with your son.

Great finds!! It’s always a good time when you take the kids.

Awesome hunt, just found one of those BSA rings last month as well.

Great finds. Congrats to your son.

Amazing finds ... Thanks for the great post!!!!

Congrats to your son and yourself on the great day detecting. My daughter was about that age when she started detecting with me. She is 31 now, and I still have the memories of the time spent with her. Every now and then, she will call and still go on an outing with me.

Excellent day out with your boy. The finds and the experience you shared are priceless.
Congratulations

Congrats to your boy and you as well! That's a great day! Looks like the washingtons were in a spill together.
