Hi all,

Happy Halloween! [emoji317]

Took the beautiful ATP on our first date to a local park today. A lot of history at this park and I know it's been worn out over the years - figured I'd go there to get a better feel for the machine...

Got a nice button(going to post on what is it to try and get an age), some cheap jewelry and a whole lotta' junk

Enjoy your night! And HH

Hey Beepbeep13, nice finds and looks like a good first date.
I'm going to make a suggestion for cleaning your button. It looks like it has some gold gilt on it and is why I'm suggesting this. This has worked on a few of my gold gilt buttons for cleaning them up. Put it in straight lemon juice for about ten minutes at a time. Let it soak, put it out, lightly q tip it. When I did it, I believe I left it in there for about two hours and it wiped off with my finger ever so easy. Now I have done a couple where I just let it soak for ten minutes at a time. It's a little on the aggressive side (maybe) but the rubbing is what would knock off the gilt. Just like old coppers, it all boils down to what condition your button is in under the dirt. As long as you don't rub the gilt off and it has allot of gilt hiding under the dirt, I think you will find the results pleasing.

Don't use lemon juice on old coppers, I was just talking about condition of things under dirt/example.

Thanks alot for the suggestion Treble!!! I will definetly try the lemon juice as I wanted to clean that button up more!

At the end of this one hunt I started feeling really confident with the signals, ( like a scracthy mid tone - I was calling foil )

I actually put the 5x8 on right out of the box. the stock coil is still brand new - I dont think i'll be putting it on 8-)

I may get out for a few hours tomorrow

Thanks all and good luck out there

Cleaned up the button today Treble, the lemon juice worked awesome! This was 2 10 minute soaks
