This is from the last few days darting into the old W PA woods poking around lost farmsteads.
Oldest item is probably a decent tombac button pulled out of a iron infested area of one of our pounded sites.
Oldest coin is an 1881 IHP from one of my local sites, pretty toasty.
Couple of old toy cars from 2 different sites.
A handful of plated silverware. For some reason I am finding tons of these this year.
Toasty trade token, probably early 1900's, Boggs and Greenbush is an intersection on Mt Washington overlooking Pittsburgh.
My second radio dial this year, there are a couple just like this on EBay selling for some decent money, who knew.
Here is everything.
7 of the wheats came from 1 hole, my largest coin spill in the old woods, why could they not have been silvers or LC's...
And this guy is my favorite, surface find. I had bags of these growing up, brought back some memories of hours spent simulating battles, now my son plays a game called Fortnight on his IPhone for hours, similar I guess.
Good luck out there!
