Do you guys and girls find very many old toys? I havent found one yet. Lots of other goodies,coins,etc.....but no toys. I hunt mostly old home sites and old school sites.....

Other than the old Matchbox stuff I buried/lost/destroyed when I was a kid, I find a few vehicles now and then.

Toy's? Yes quite a few! I have cars, trucks, jeeps, cannon, tanks and airplanes. Many date back to the 1930's and 40's.
The places I have found them in were the old yards much like you are doing, especially under the tree's and near hedges etc...
Keep plugging away and you will hit them sooner or later.

found a old 1940's die cast metal army truck once --rang up like a zinc cent but deep ==was a slow day so i decided to dig it up .

Toy cars and metal figures. Found them in both parks and yards, but they seem to turn up more in yards.

I found hot wheels the old tootsie cars,an old Dick Tracy cap gun.

When I find the old metal soldiers or figures (firemen, postmen, etc.) I know I'm in a good spot. I've found lots of pieces but never a whole cap pistol. Dozens of Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars.

When I hunt the forest preserves near Chicago, I find LOTS
of Cracker Jack prizes from the 1920's & 1930's made out of
pot-metal. Always a good sign of picnicking & camping activity
