Hey y'all

I just wanted to hear the pros and cons of trading 40% clads up to .999

To me, silver is silver, and if I were to trade up at my local dealer I would be paying a premium for the bars. Plus I like the added peace of mind that my halves are struck my the US Mint vs a private company.

Thoughts?

40% purity coins necessitate extensive refining, as melt prices increase refinery costs rise with the added throughput. If you can make a near even trade, it'd almost definitely be worth the saved space / refinery cost down the road.
