TRX batteries

I just got a new TRX is there an advantage to using a 9V over two AA batteries, is it more stable with a 9V and what's the battery life difference. Thanks for any info and HH

I've seen no difference, so far. I started out using AA, then switched to 9v when I started swinging detectors that used 9v. Works the same.

I been using AA's for 2 years now (only on the 2 ed set , I changed them cause I thought they may need it , no loss of Depth after a year & I hunt a good bit.) Have not tried the 9 volts yet.
