Trying to date handmade glass pitcher

As knowing what to look for I picked this up today thought it was interesting its about 6 inches tall

Can anyone tell me why there are little tiny pieces of steel in the glass

It's more than likely caused by contaminants in the cullet that was used to make the piece.


That's just another assumption, or an opinion so...
