Trying to ID another trigger guard

Hey guys. Found trigger guard #3 at my go to cellar hole. Does anyone know what type/age of gun this come off of??

Mid 1700's English musket would be my guess.

I would like to see it cleaned up, looks a bit tweaked up but mostly if not all there. Would be neat if it had custom engraving on it.Great cool factor.

I'll give it some time in the electrolysis tank and see what's under the rust. It would be very cool if there was engraving on it!

You should be able to get that rust off by other means than electrolysis. I bet you could carefully scrape of chip it off.
