Did a non-standard run today. Ended up with

$2.50 in half dollars - skunk
1 - $200 bag of nickels
1 - $100 box of nickels (50 rolls)
1 - $50 bag of pennies
1 - $25 bag of pennies

Also looked through the clear plastic rolls of quarters (26 rolls), dimes (20) and nickels.

Ended up picking up 1 roll of quarters (had a 1964 in it)
and 1 roll of nickels (1 pre-1960 Jefferson (1958))

The $200 bag of nickels had
47 pre-1960 Jefferson (1940(2), 1940-D, 1941, 1941-D, 1941-S Small S, 1946, 1947, 1948(2), 1949, 1949-D(2), 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953-D, 1953-S, 1954-D(5), 1955-D, 1956, 1956-D(2), 1957-D(6), 1958-D(6), 1959-D(8))

12 Canadian (1962, 1964, 1979, 1980(2), 1982, 1983, 1988, 1989, 1994, 1998, 2003-P)

6 Foreign (Bermuda, 5 Cents (1986), Great Britain, 1 Penny (1988, 1997), Netherlands, 5 Cents (1996), Russia, 1 Rouble (1997, 1998))

1 dime, 1 penny, 2 play money pennies

The rest will have to wait.

You might want to keep those pre 81 Canadian nickels separate. They are 99.9% nickle, worth more than their face value.

For now I keep all Canadian coins, but someday in the not too distant future, I'll start creating date rolls of those too and cashing in the rejects and yes I'll keep the older ones for metal content (pre-? pennies and pre-1981 nickels)

Just completed the box of nickels....another silverless, buffaloless, Vless $100 worth of nickels....

22 pre-1960 Jefferson (1938, 1939(3), 1940, 1946(3), 1946-D, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1951-D, 1953, 1954-S, 1955-D(2), 1957-D, 1958-D, 1959, 1959-D(2))

though it was also the first time I can remember getting a box with 0 Canadian or foreign coins in it.

I always find something foreign in my boxes of nickles. Usually Canadian, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, or Bahamas. I throw the latter Canadians back but usually give one of the tellers at my dump the others as she collects foreign coins.

Well just finished the $25 bag of pennies.

My best $25 this year.. at least in terms of quantity...quality on the other hand, I've had better.

30 wheat pennies (1926, 1937, 1942, 1944-D, 1950-D(3), 1951-D(3), 1953-D(5), 1954-D, 1955-D(4), 1956-D(4), 1957-D(2), 1958-D(4))

17 Canadian (1961, 1976(2), 1977(3), 1978, 1981, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1992, 1997, 1998, 2005-P, 2006)

2 Foreign (Bahamas, 1 Cent (2004(2)))

Finished the last $50 bag of pennies from this batch....nothing too special.

30 Canadian (1941, 1950, 1959, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1968(2), 1970, 1972, 1974, 1975(2), 1976, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1984(2), 1986, 1989, 1991(3), 1999, 2000(2), 2002-P, 2004, 2006)
