Turpentine Tag

[Dieselpro]

I've been finding turpentine tags around a long gone turpentine still. What were the tags for?
It says E.H. Lmr. Co.492 TURP'T
So I guess E.H. Lumber Co. Turpentine. 492

Any Info helpful.

I'm guessing they were used to mark the barrels.
