While dirt fishing a property permission of mine with one of our own. Smallfoot dug up the following photoed item.

It is two wires of most likely bronze or brass, very precisely twisted together in tight twists continuously forming an approximately
4" in diameter hoop/ring, then someway brazed or welded the two ends together.

Freshly Dug in our finds bin for the day:

It is WAY to large to be a bangle bracelet (it wouldn't even be capable of staying on someone with large Clydsdale like hands like mine, let alone on a female long ago).

The item was nicked by smallfoot when he dug it up, and it is the same color tone as my 10K yellow gold wedding band.

WHAT IS IT????

We are hunting an old orange grove plantation in Florida, but the land was also proven to be a former historical Seminole Indian trading post/encampment area as well.

Any idea's?? PS. Sorry for this misspell in the title. Can't figure out how to correct it.

Looks like a bracelet to me. What’s the diameter? It looks like twisted wire. How are the ends attached? If it looks like they were well matched and brazed (and it’s a bracelet range of diameter), I’d think bracelet.

Looks like brass from the pics, my first thought was a net frame but thats not it, my guess is some sort of horse tac decoration..

Hey, Thanks for trying. All the questions you asked, are in the post. TOO big for a bracelet.

Maybe a "bracelet" worn on the upper arm?

I really am thinking that Indian Steve has hit this one out of the park! If this was an unbent up, polished brass Armband / bicep bracelet, it would have only been worn by an influential member of an Indian tribe. This was a trading point for the Seminole Indians.

I'll have to wait for some more opinions on this. It would be cool if it was Seminole related. I'm having trouble putting it into a quickly thrown together loop for some mechanical purpose around the farm idea. Copper or steel wire was probably more available than brass wire. The twist is pretty good and the joint was made pretty well. I'm holding back on cleaning it much. Can't tell what material made the joint...brass brazing or solder, lead, etc. It would take getting down to bare metal at the joint and I don't want to break it if turns out special.
