To start the day off my camera protective lens cover would not open, to many trips in the field. I have only had that thing for 10 years, I guess I got my money out of it. Anyway moved a lot of dirt and I mean a lot, first thing I found was what I thought was the best, I have never seen one of this size and polished like this, I guess you can call it a plummet/weight.View attachment 884780View attachment 884781View attachment 884786View attachment 884787This thing is perfect, the only thing wrong with it is a small ding where I hit it. I have never found one that was this big, polished and drilled. Man I was as happy as a pig in a mud hole. This find stoked me up so I went back at it, the very next scoop I found this point, I think it is a what we call a carrollton point 3000 to 4000 years old.View attachment 884793View attachment 884795Things could not get any better, but I was wrong. As I bent down to go back to work in this 3ft deep pit, I was on my knees and a clump of dirt fell off the wall with this and landed almost in my lap.View attachment 884805View attachment 884810View attachment 884818View attachment 884825View attachment 884829This is some of that green stone that folks where telling me about. I have found a celt made of some of it already. Someone said what's next silver and gold beads, well this is just has good to me. JMO these items have never been used at all and I think they where made for someone special or a special time. The disk made a few dings on this one , but what the heck I think I will keep it.:laughing7:

Those are amazing finds and an obvious BANNER day. My vote is in.

I don't know what to say...
I do know this... I wish the last guy who had his hands on those would take care of the oxidation on my boat.
Cool pieces!
Happy hunting.

you found all those in the same hole?....??? They were PUT there, someone dug a hole and PUT them there...who knows why, they are pretty darn polished, so I would guess whoever put them there valued them....GO BACK! bring a bigger shovel!

Epic hunt. I can only imagine a day like that. Nice cache. I guess the point will age the finds?

I would of fainted out there! A big hearty congratulations on these incredible finds.

with the quality of what you have I gotta think you must be into a burial...especially given the depth.

OK.. I'm just going to say it... I've left this alone for days.
If I didn't think you were regularly hunting and finding artifacts I wouldn't think twice to say these were probably made last week and over polished with an electric buffer.
We already know you make replica artifacts.
You come across as a great guy.. and I don't understand why what I'm saying here would be true... never the less...
I understand something never being used but these don't look like they've ever been in the ground.
That point definitely does not look like it has three thousand years worth patina on it... comparing it to the rest of the artifacts that have come from this area.
You haven't responded once in this thread... when it would normally be expected for somebody to be bouncing off the walls with excitement over finding all of this in one day.
My apologies if I am way off base here... and it is not personal at all.
Whatever the case may be something is definitely odd..
Including the part about saying you found an artifact in a3 foot deep hole ... then saying it has a couple dings from the disk... also the incidental start of another thread that is starting to meld with this one.
Hmmmm...
Please ... tell me I'm wrong.
This thread somehow reminds me of that "experiment" thread you did with the bogus points.

First off, Rack, I love you to death and would never hurt your feelings or make you mad on purpose. Please understand that. However, I haven't made a post on this thread for a couple of reasons. My thinking you are in a burial isn't one of the reasons. First reason is because I remember the find the fake thread. That thread made an ass of me, I'm not new to that so it's all good. My second reason is the groove on the axe looks strange. I can also see an imperfection in the stone. It looks like a weak spot. It just doesn't seem right for an axe to have a natural flaw in it. My last reason is exactly what gator said. I can't see any indication of these ever touching dirt, let alone spending 5,000 years buried. I can see reflections in the axe. I hope I'm wrong but I've been waiting for you to come back laughing.
