View attachment 764940View attachment 764939Thursday I got to detect with my girlfriend and two guys from work, one got us permission for a church that his family goes to. This guy never had metal detected before and now I think he may be hooked :laughing7::laughing:laughing7: was good hunt for being cold and short. The few good things we found we let go to the church, they wanted to share them with the rest of the congregation. My girlfriend found a dump at the back of the property and recovered two nice bottles. We will be going back when it warms up.
The half dollar came from the home of a friend of my girlfriend. It was late in the day Saturday and I just so happen to have Mr. At pro with me :icon_thumleft:, mostly just worked the small front lawn. It got dark on me but I got my first silver for the year and my very first dug half dollar.I also dug something that seems to be brass, It has a dragon on it and China stamped in the back. Not sure what it is, anyone want to take a stab at it? Thanks for looking!

Found some info on the small glass bottle, it looks to be from the original Vaseline makers. Not sure of time frame.

Cool, what year is the half?

It's a 1954. My first big silver not really that old but silver lol

WTG Pug Nice find!

I agree a Vick's Vapo Rub jar. 3 little indians, some wheats, I assume the rosie is clad and a nice Silver Half Dollar! What is the mint mark on the half? All in all a very nice time hunting, congrats...............63bkpkr

Congrats on the Silver and other great finds!

Thanks everyone. And there is no mint mark

Can't tell what size it is in the picture, but the Chinese brass thing looks like a trivet at first glance.

It's about 3 inches side to side
