Went back to that cool old house again this past week, I figured I would keep hitting until they tore it down, and am I glad I did.
The second day there I pulled my first ever seated dime, she's beautiful. Also pulled two Merc's a couple more IHP's buffalo and another V nickel. The old girl keeps on giving. I know there is a ruler brass peace here and I think the piece at the top right is the hilt to knife, and sinker. I don't know what the anchor pin or the two pieces directly above are. If anyone have clues on some of these things I'd like know please!
Seated dime 1887
Merc 1939-44
Buffalo ?
V Nickle 1889
IHP 1890-1870
The second hunt was on the way back from WV and stopped at a house I briefly hunted before, the land owner lets anyone hunt there and someone was there literally two days before me, but he left me my oldest Barber yet and in a hole he dug I found the shield.
If any knows what this I'd appreciate it. All it says is F&B 5 on it. nothing on the back never was a pin token?
Barber 1893 O

Wow, that's a beautiful, old home! I would be hitting that all the time if I lived near it. Way to go!

Nice finds. I have tried to come up with something that shield is for but have drawn a blank. I thought it may have been railroad related but can't find and railroad with those initials. F&B is abbreviated for food and beverage in the food service sector. Good luck with it. It is a cool find.
