Two new Paterson script jugs and a mid-18th century stein....

[epackage]

Picked up two new script jugs and a Westerwald Mid-18th century stein that has a re-glued handle, but at $32 it was impossible to pass up....

[Bass]

That stein is very nice

[Goldenplug]

Those are really nice. Do you know what the significance of the 5 is on the stein?

[epackage]

I'm guessing 5 liters, it's 13 inches tall.... but I could be wrong

[Goldenplug]

Hmmm... 5 liters sounds a bit much. Think about how much soda is in a 2 liter bottle. A 5 liter stein would be quite efficient though!

Very ,Very nice !!!!!!

When you consider it's 13" tall and rather bulbous it may indeed hold 1.3 gallons. I will know tomorrow evening...

Lol...Epack. nice score. .

[Plumbata]

The jugs are nice, but that stein is a gobsmacker! Very cool find.
