Two platets cleaned up for veiwing 'Mexican American War' 1846

Just wanted to show off the two plates I dug about a month ago. One still has some of the metal tags on the back and the other is missing. The eagles are both beautiful. The plate on the left came from an area that was on the edge of the Rio Grande river (pitted but with the tags on the back) and the second came from an area along the river bank (no tags).

Thanks for reading.

Better hurry and find as much as you can now before they build that wall All the old (1700-1800) ranch sites on the US border will be off limits.
