TYBEE ISLAND IN TWO WEEKS

ok, I have found four rings and a lot of clad so far this year here in Indiana

When I get to Tybee it will be the end of a college weekend there.
If I don't find solid gold there I am a failure right?

Is that not a can't miss?

well I searched the tybee city website for "metal detecting" and nothing came up

also, the icon on their website for search is a man with a detector!!

So I am taking that positively

You know what they say,it's better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission. Unless there are pictures posted on the beach that specifically say no metal detecting I would try it.

We went there a few years ago and stayed at a really neat old hotel,the Desoto. Have a great time Jay Gee.

Been there many times, never to hunt. That part of Savannah is controlled by the people. No big named brand hotels, no chain restaurants (at least it was 7 years ago). Nice old fort there that may have been hunted to death. lots of beach and sand. Best place I ate was: The Crab Shack

I just read the beach rules and nothing was said about detecting, just to stay off the dunes
