I’ve had some folks on Facebook say clay, some say lost lake. Im thinking lost lake. But I am no expert. Thanks!

You dont say what part of Georgia N, S, E, W, it could be one of several different types. Thebes, a little out of normal area found, but they did trade, it looks a lot like a Kirk corner notch.

I’m sorry Glynn Co. is southeast right near the coast. Probably 40 min from Florida.

That type of flint is found along the lower Savannah River. Very tough when worked raw. Beautiful point!😍

The material that it made from appears to be Coastal Plains Chert. It's fairly common in South Georgia, North Florida, and Lower Alabama. Could be found in other places as well. I've just seen it in these locations. As nice of a point as that one is, I'd go back after each rain.

I’ve been dying to. Unfortunately the land was bought and made into a private hunting club. Almost worth the cost of membership just to get access to search the area.

In Texas a very similar point to yours is called a Marcos. Google it.
