Thank you guys for the ideas!! really starting to lean towards fencepost finial. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
Gare , going with your idea, I just ran across a cultivation tool online called a dibbler. They are used to break hard ground to plant seeds. Although no exact matches in shape, some are real close. Thanks again! What about some type of cultivation equipment piece ? Like on the end ?
Well it could be a few things... but finial seems to fit my mindset due to its construction.Thank you guys for the ideas!! really starting to lean towards fencepost finial. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.

Thanks as always BF! Definitely will look further into it.The logging pole idea has some credence.
Log rafts were floated down the Mississippi River to various mills/destinations. They were lashed together and log men rode on them. They kept the rafts from becoming Log Jams.
Most used a long pole (often hickory) with a metal point on the end. The tool was used to push rafts apart and away from river banks, sandbars etc.
I can’t verify that you item is such. Just that it’s possible and you are in a good area for such an item. Best of luck! 👍🏼
