Rock looks volcanic. Turned it over and in the sun light this nice aqua and dark blue spot showed itself. Have no idea what the blue is. Comments appreciated.

Looks like chert of Jasper or some agate type of rock. Formed after the rock hydrothermally. That's just my guess. Probably would look great slabbed but I don't know if it would be worth it. Nice rock.

Went back today and found this small piece with blue on it. Unfortunately this piece looks more like slag and I'm leaning more in that direction now. What a shame as the first piece is such as pretty blue..

Where at?

There's Leland Blue around Leland, MI which is a slag. There are blue agates around the Caribbean volcanos that has something to do with seawater seepage.

I'd do a hardness test with quartz. #1 doesn't look like slag. Rather volcanic.
My gut tells me opal, but my brain is more skeptic...
