Unknown metal object

I need help identifying a metal object which I found while metal detecting on my property. It shaped by a duck and appears to be a dish. It is 5 3/4 inches by 7 1/2 inches and 3/4 inches thick. The picture is the front and back.

looks like it may have mounted to something.
are those 3 pins in the second pic ?
is it Cast Iron ?

I'm thinking Victorian, Cast Iron Kewpie Duck style Wall mount.
or part of a Lightening Rod ?
But there appears to be something missing from the front
body yet

Man, you find alot of Unknow metal objects

Looks like some kind of Serving dish, my grandparents were obessed with Duck related stuff, and they had somethign simlialr, but it had a hinged lid that came with it, Do you see any signs of where a hinne might have been?, its got the 3 pins on the bottom to sit on.

I also thought of an ashtray...I found it buried on my 22 acre property with a metal detector. There are pins on the bottom as though it would sit on a table.

Made it had a "loose" top to it. I looked up many different things it could be , and either some serving type dish..I thought it might be a Cast Iron bread maker, but it would be an odd shape.

There are 3 pins on the bottom as though it would sit on a table....it is cast iron. I found it buried on my 22 acre property with a metal detector. I do not know if anything is missing...it does not appear to be broken...

Just seen your object... Went to my car that is full of little pieces and grabbed this... Looks so similar..and I have no idea what it is...

Interesting...the duck shape head on my object is somewhat round....did you find your object metal detecting?

How about a pipe holder? The bill holding the stem of the pipe? Just a wild guess.

Looks almost like 1/2 of a "cast" for pouring melted lead/metal/etc. in to make "ducks"!?

The object is a trivet......used to place on the table and put hot pans on. There are two horse heads on the inside front of the trivet.
