Now that we sorta know what metal it is....my best guess is that it's babbitt, which is a lead/tin and other type metals mixed together that used in engine bearings and other bearing applications, a long time ago bearings were poured in and around the rotating shaft and pillar blocks/bearing caps, they did this buy melting the babbitt and pouring it into the bearing caps to form a new bearing, many times this was done in the field by mechanics to get the machinery back up and running and what you found I believe was the extra metal that spilled out as they were pouring the molten babbitt.it turnes out to be nothing but a simple piece of melted lead. i can bend it easely. sorry for bothering you with this
do you want to buy it?That's the coolest piece melted lead I have seen in a long while. That would be certain to become a conversation piece on my coffee table.
i asumed it was lead but i realy don't know. it smells of insence?? and leaves a gray streak on paper and weighs 23 grams and meisures 4,5 x 2 x 1 cmThat was my next question . How did you determine it was lead ? It looks kind of like silver to me .
With that info more than likely used to make bullets from a chunk of bigger lead.it turnes out to be nothing but a simple piece of melted lead. i can bend it easely. sorry for bothering you with this
