This was found at a Northshore beach on LI, that I am unfamiliar with. Not sure what it is, but it looks kind of old.

Possibly an older costume jewelry ring and the shank corroded off. Does it look like the shank to a ring could have been attached to each side?

I agree, looks like a piece of crusted jewelry a lady’s broach perhaps.

I think it is too egg shaped to be a broach or a ring. It could be pendent, but it is heavy. Made of pewter I think.

Do you know a good jeweler ? They might be able to date it by the way the remaining stones are mounted. Great find !
