Unusual Spur

Got out tonight and found an enfield bullet, an exploded base from a parrot shell and this broken spur (or at least what I think is a spur). This site has produced some colonial items as well, is this spur colonial or some type of officers spur?

I've never seen a spur that looks like this, very unusual.

It is part of a spur, but I do not know what time era its from.
