Took the watch into a jeweler today, and he advised that what I had found is what they in the profession call a "knock off" item. It's a showy, glitzy looking item but the stones are glass, and they are glued in. He also advised that real items of this type do not have the number of Karots stamped on the watch anywhere. So, I guess that it's back to diggin more holes and hoping.

Pulled this watch out of the ground yesterday. It is very heavy (about 450 grams), on the front it says Swiss Made, and on the back it says Orologi diamond, Locman Italy, Chronometer 2.5 ct.
I don't know if that means carots as in diamonds, but the front is surrounded with two complete rows of stones.
I checked Orologi diamond watches on the net, and was amazed to see that they do exist, and they can be quite expensive.
Would appreciate any insight that any of you may have on this item. The articles that I read, stated that original watches always had a red band, and this one had one.
I've attached several photos to give you any idea as to what I'm holding in may hand. Thanks for your time.
