That's pretty cool. I'll have to start checking my change more often! Is there a demand for stuff like this among collectors?

Yes, folks love these low serial bills. One sold this month on eBay for $247. It was asingle digit serial 00000005 but it was in terrible condition.

I'll let you know how this one does.

Des Plaines,

You probably know that yours is a radar; specifically a fancy radar with the four zeros in the middle. Wanna sell it? PM me if you're interested.

If you ever have another 00000004, I'll Western Union you the money, don't spend it.

I got these two back in change a few weeks ago. They are not worth a whole lot but I think they are unique enough to hang onto.

TxKickerGirl:

This site shows you some of what to look for also. That eBay article also covers the basics of it.

HH Charlie,

The first one is a true radar (a you probably know) and is worth quite a bit in crisp uncirulated condition. Yours would still bring an premium in the condition it's in.

Nice finds.

Re: Found in My Change & It's Going on eBay

That's insane, I have to pay attention to my notes now too. People are crazy, paying $20 for a $1 note that has only 3 numbers at the end. It seems you would get more than $40 the way they are going on Ebay.

Nice find,

Keep @ it and HH!

Re: Found in My Change & It's Going on eBay

Wow, will also check my bills for low serial numbers. I usually put a 'Where's George' on each dollar bill for tracking. But now I see folks are buying them up...WOW. Have two sets of bills with consecutive serial numbers..have to check ebay for cost....LOL

Re: Found in My Change & It's Going on eBay

I am now going to be obsessed with looking at the serial number of every bill I come in contact with. Great!! Another OCD to add to my collection!
